    Well 17 to 18 was my guesstimate.

    WA exceeded wildest expectations

    To put it in context NSW is second biggest grain producing state normally SA 3rd

      Drove past Jerramungup and visited some friends by Ravensthorpe. Start was dry, harvest was late and wet, but ya they said crops turned out not too bad.

      BTW, finally know what a malleefowl is.

        Well now you know why grain prices started dropping once harvest got underway. Crop was larger than first thought. What is scary about this result is that once precipitation is closer to average, Australian production can go much higher. This means the next decade will be like the 80's with mountains of surplus production everywhere.

          It’s scary. On a positive note there are more mouths to feed, a growing demand for meat protein, and ethanol demand. Still lots more grain grown now.
