Wow that is some heat there. Can you drink the beer before it evaporates with the combination of heat and low humidity ?
A little lower on the thermometer it was about -25 or -30 when I took this pic north of oskikibuk lake a few days ago. Click image for larger version

Dropped from -1c to -16c over the past 5 hrs with a north west wind .
Probably see some -30’s tomorrow morning again. Ahh January.

Min 2.6 this morning in East Regina. Wind picking up and the temp is supposed to drop all day. Where on the line.

Widespread hell on earth temps possible 7 days from now. 46 to 49c my place suggested 48c that would be a record.

State capital 46c progged add buildings tarmac lack of air movement in city "on ground" temps could well be 52c plus

Geez hope the electricity grid holds up with peak demand.

Alot of our excess power when needed comes from interstate yep you guessed it there in mid 40s as well people wondering if there gonna have to be load shedding.

So right yeah a supermarket turns of freezers cause there told to save power like to see that

think we had 45.1 plenty had 48 think some may have had 49c not sure.

the tar or bitumn on highway was lifting in some spots apparently and traffic got detoured

power outages as well due to high demand.

with so much renawble power here we have to rely from power interstate when they have heat same as us we miss out on power called "load shedding"

Hi Mallee, it could be worse here but how could it possibly be worse there? Are those temps breaking records? What a wild temperature difference.

yep i think 36 weather recrding stations broke records yesterday. No one cracked 50 but plenty at 48.6 to 49.

Soil is so so dry no rain on the horizon meaning next month other than the odd few mm fall. So were kinda behind the 8 ball already for 2019.

So many farmers locally here just sick of it. Graingrowing sadly is becoming a expensive pastime
