East Asia must have moved since I last looked at a map, none of those destinations look like east Asia to me.

Need a lot more information. How long have they been waiting? Are they just Canadian flagged vessels? Do they just have on cargo shipped from Canada? What is their cargo: grain, other bulk, oil/gas, containers? What is the Chinese excuse for not unloading because I doubt they said it was retaliation over Huawei?

While 9 vessels waiting to unload sounds really bad, I just checked ship tracker and see that in the port of Shanghai alone are currently 2070 ships in port with another 756 arriving in the next 24 hours and 995 leaving. And this is just one Chinese port. So 9 ships is not a lot in the big picture. So the devil is in the details and hopefully macdon will expand or supply a source so we can evaluate the importance of 9 boats waiting to unload.
