This is the canary in the coal mine for Canadian ag. few more acres in Russia, Kazakhstan and Argentina and we are replaced too.

Perfect, when they run out, we'll have lots to sell them at a better price.

The US has hundred of years of hydrocarbons. Alaska is sitting on an ocean of oil. The US has just chosen not to tap it until now. They will be exporting 10M bbl a day.

And her we sit navel gazing and talking about the intersection of blah blah. The world is eating our lunch.

It' too bad that no one will negotiate their positions.

My position is that the planet should pick the bones of the moon for the next thousand years to provide our energy needs.

If there is no concerted effort to that effect, Canada can rely on its governance doctrines that present office holders can not bind the hands of future office holders. Canada's earth bound entrenched troubling policy on energy will end, and I agree with wd that our energy can stay in place for that future, more friendly political environment.

What's the point in giving it away? None is eating our lunch, we are doing well with basically free energy. Industries are doing just fine in fact better now that oil distortion of the work force is in check.

So where is all the shortage of oil? And how is a pipeline going to mean higher prices when flooding the market without a plan? Just like cwb exit with no plan or seed cost to farmers without a plan.

We need to stop being brainwashed by people that the oil industry has made into millionaires and who's job is to convince us all how we can't live without paying 2 bucks a litre for diesel or gas at the pumps. And how that is going to make everything so cheap in Canada a country which is spread out so far part and relies on fuel to move everything so far to market.

This low price of fuel is the best thing that could possibly happen to all of us. Should be mandated to be lowest fuel cost in developed countries. We d attract every kind of business there is. The real ones that will give countries an edge going foreword.

This is a tough one - how wide is the line between cognitive dissonance and schizophrenia?

That's exactly right the oil sheep all follow with their heads in the sand while the wallys And rhe Billy's rake it in. Nobody Ever seems to want to answer how supplying more oil to a situation where the USA is going to overproduce and Russia taking over rhe Middle East areas is going to lead to higher prices for our export crude.
As we've seen as more is exported the higher our domestic costs get for some reason and that doesn't even count the losses to our economy such as saskatchewan has had where the last boom broke us so bad we're still paying a pst on everything we shouldn't be.

No real grain farmer in western Canada who enjoys good rail movement would be opposed to an oil pipeline that involves no taxpayer funding.

The delay game being played by socialists and foreign funded activists is crippling our country.

Anyone with the iq of a turnip knows the rails use fuel also when they pay more I guess we pay less? Hahahaha

It's only a problem when things get deregulated to the point the railways can do what ever they want. put a few more trains on the track if it's too slow. Not very hard to figure out.

and still no answer as to how flooding the market with an inferior oil product results in higher prices for our crude. Hahahaha NEXT!!!!!

And still no answer as to how higher domestic fuel prices helps agriculture and wvery other sector besides oil.
                    Next!!!!!

amd still no answer as to how increasing oil output affects other industries, cost of labor cost of equipment cost of land etc etc
                    NEXT!!!!!

Increase oil output all you want as long as it doesn't increase my costs as a farmer any real farmer should be able to understand that.

You're spot on this time BigWheel but I'm guessing the answer from this forum would be "never mind it's selling at a loss - we'll make it up on volume"

Fuel prices like new IRON, every dealer jammed to rafters with new and used and prices of new never change or go up with exchange... some stuff does not compute? Grain always goes DOWN inverse to perceived/hoped for, over supply. Thousands of houses for sale, but prices still out of reach?

Your guess is as good as mine.
Apparently loading up the same railways that move grain.....with cars full of crude oil is a good thing for some “grain farmers”. 🙈
