Wage went from 10.50 (which is ridiculous) to 15$ over 4 years. Small biz tax rate decreased from 3% to 2%. Can you really blame the net of that to increase the meal by 30%?

The predictions of 53,000 to 93,000 jobs lost because of increase was a farce, instead 40k jobs in that income bracket were created. ATB says restaurant receipts are at an all time high.

64% of those who work at minimum wage are women.

I agree that $10.50 is pitifully low. But there has to be a recognition that some sectors receive tips that really add up. My best friends son works restaurants and makes $35 to $45 an hour in tips alone. He works at a couple restaurants. One is Red Lobster, not sure about the other.

Horse as an Albertan I will give you a few examples of NDP mistakes. First climate leadership plan. Higher carbon tax than was required by the Feds with no resulting benefit. Mandated shutting down coal fired plants early at what will be a total cost of a billion dollars with what real benefit? Raised minimum wage by what 45% and included other payroll increases. Biggest net result from personal experience restaurant meals have increased in cost over 30% since 2015. Raised corporate taxes by 20% and resulted in lower revenues. Lowered small business tax from 3 to 2%, certainly hope I can afford 3%. Alberta has the lowest business confidence in Canada according to latest poll by Canadian Federation of Independent business. Fastest accumulation of government debt in Alberta's history! Need I go on, oh and still no pipeline after kissing Trudeau's ass for 3 years! Enjoy your day.

Higher carbon tax,show some numbers,we can all talk if we dont have to back it up. Ralph deregulated or shall we say reregulated to the broadcast figure of 17 billion,you can argue that # if you wish,kind of like arguing how much sand in saraha desert ,I applaude them for raising the min wage,and dont feel sorry for all those people waiting at tim hortons for their coffee in their company pickups and expence accounts.
Cant realy comment on tax revenue,everyone has thier own set of numbers,who is lying(most likely those whose lips are moving) As for your poll Defenbaker said it all ,dogs know what polls are for.
The cons were set for a 6 billion debt which very likely would have been larger,when was the last time a politicion ever told the truth about a upcoming defecit.
And no pipeline after 40 yrs of con rule and the highest oil revenue in history and left the cupboard bare as for trudeau I dont realy think Rachel had any bering on his election. But you just go on believing the cons are god and when he comes back mabey he will bring that bunch of loosers with him, I sure hope we dont see them until then.

Horse the federal Liberals mandated a $20 tonne carbon tax for 2019. The Alberta carbon tax increased to $30 a tonne Jan.1,2018. $30 a tonne is not required by the Feds until Jan.1, 2020. As far as revenue from personal and corporate taxes just look back at NDP press releases related to budget updates and you will see how revenue has come in below expectations! Only 2 pipelines to tidewater were proposed under Harper, Northern Gateway and TMX. Northern Gateway was approved by Harper and overturned in court after he was defeated. TMX was going through the review process at that time and is yet to begin construction. Enjoy your day.

While I am cynical of any of that money ending up where it is needed most, I also think we have an obligation to step in when people are literally starving in the 21st century. The political mess is certainly not the fault of the average citizen, who are bearing the brunt of the calamity. And you can rest assured that the dictators who instrumented the demise of their own economy are not starving.

Perhaps sending food directly would be much more beneficial and is harder for those in power to steal.
