For those who are saying that "all governments do it", there's this:

    https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/the-tories-passed-a-measure-designed-to-catch-liberal-scandals-thirteen-years-later-it-caught-lavscam https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/the-tories-passed-a-measure-designed-to-catch-liberal-scandals-thirteen-years-later-it-caught-lavscam

Headline "The Harper government passed a measure 13 years ago to catch Liberal scandals. It worked perfectly."

"Literally, the first action of the new Conservative government in 2006 was to inaugurate an independent prosecutor's office to prevent future Sponsorship Scandals".

So, the antidote to Chretien-Librano type crooks snared the next Liberal crook, Butt's puppet Trudeau, LOL!

I wonder if his old man is looking in from somewhere saying, "Ya shoulda seen that one coming, ya lil Cuban dimwit."

Hate to ruin a solid Twitter post, but a basic google search, or Morningstar search proves that they are most certainly not the largest shareholder

They would appear to be #3... and basic multiplication says they have ~$151M plugged into SNC out of a total of ~$305B total assets... or .05% of their total assets are tied up in SNC.

Justin Trudeau persistently abusing the justice system.

Then JWR fearlessly steps up and this happens:

There is something much deeper and sinister in this SNC Lavalin thing. The jobs thing is just a cover. Have you ever seen a politician and a PM get so personally invested in a company this corrupt that now includes a prostitution ring? Every politician I have seen would be distancing themselves from that company jobs be damned. But not Trudeau.

He personally pressured the AG and then forced his minions to do the same. Most leaders know not to get down in the weeds like that. All for SNC which only has 3500 jobs in Canada a smaller number in Montreal. SNCs office cant even be moved they have a long term lease on the building so its not going anywhere and out of work engineers would be quickly scooped up by the 10 other large firms in Canada.

If Trudeau really wanted jobs in Quebec all he had to do was get some more debt and sprinkle it all over in the province. But he didn't do that. He got deep in bed with a corrupt organization trying every strategy in the book to get them off even if he loses the election.

No there is something deeper here.

It’s a house of cards. This scandal sets a precedent that gives a green light to dig into (I never I’d say this) deep state meddling and corruption by large corporations and bought off politicians. Not to mention foreign powers at play whom wish to control our country to their benefit, not to mention organized crime. The Bronfman whiskey family, another Quebec powerhouse is not above questionable practices and a liberal financier.

When I mean deeper I don't mean money or even power. These guys have access to all the money they could want, why risk personal scandal for a few more dollars.

Same thing goes in the US - have you ever seen a group go so hard to investigate a president. I mean asking if there is a love child during a hearing? And trump seems unfazed. He must have an ace up his sleeve.

There is something else and people are going to unbelievable lengths to protect it. There is already an activated group of journalists and online agitators trying to destroy JWR.
