When I mean deeper I don't mean money or even power. These guys have access to all the money they could want, why risk personal scandal for a few more dollars.

Same thing goes in the US - have you ever seen a group go so hard to investigate a president. I mean asking if there is a love child during a hearing? And trump seems unfazed. He must have an ace up his sleeve.

There is something else and people are going to unbelievable lengths to protect it. There is already an activated group of journalists and online agitators trying to destroy JWR.

So is that why JWR mentioned that she was told about the Butts/Libranos ability to line up favorable op-eds? As a preemptive strike against negative press? (It was too late to defend herself) Which was already clearly the case when her colleagues were making negative remarks about her while she was still silenced?

So yesterday Kathy Elliot, Toronto Star editor, writes a defense of the Star's honor, "Why, we would NEVER do that!" (And Bill Clinton SMOKES cigars...) LOL!

No wonder Trump can call fake news and get away with it because it is.
The more I think of it Butts testifying to “clarify” the matter perplexes me because for him to try and discredit her is like trying to catch a falling knife. Is he that stupid to pick this hill to die on or will he (very outside chance) throw Trudeau under the bus? Public opinion see Wilson-Raybould as a hero and for someone who quit at the outset of this cluster**** incriminating themselves already to try and crucify her would be a desperate and stupid move.
