I Wouldn't be opposed to a wager - never could resist sure bets LOL.

Weird thing. The more Trump Im exposed to, the less he bothers me. Quite the opposite for JT.

Western separation often rears its head among a very few the economy is down.

Blaming Quebec, Ontario and Ottawa is a staple of western Conservative politicians. But Kenney, Moe and Palister will have nothing to do with separation.

But once Scheer is elected and needs Quebec votes to get re-elected, SNC will be given a deal if it doesn't go to criminal court, Scheer will try to tinker with the equalization formula unsuccessfully just like Harper, and the oil and grain industry will rise or fall depending what happens to supply and demand.

In other words business and politics as usual with a few subtle changes.

You seem quite confident, so a large wager should not be a problem. What is a quarter of land worth where you are at now?
The timeline however is difficult, since these things can and do drag on for years and decades if we go the constitutional route, with forming political parties, having referendums, and negotiations. Regrettably, it would probably need to be a 20 year timeline. Although I'm on the record of stating that if it takes more than a few days from start to finish, it will scare off investment (Canada wide too), and defeat the purpose.

In other words you won't really wager because you know it isn't likely to happen. If, as you said in an earlier post, separation will be triggered by current events then it would imply a move in that direction being initiated within 5 years. Not going to happen.

I am absolutely willing to wager. The value of a quarter section that Alberta will not be a part of an entity called Canada within 20 years.

That of course is not the way I want it to play out, but I have little faith that we will be prudent enough to do it the smart way.

The end result will be the same, but what tatters of an economy we have left will be the difference.

See, thing is grass, Trump is more aligned with my life experiences.
Everything Trudeau ever was or will be is as foreign to me as deep ocean vent life forms.

They're both completely alien to me and my life experiences. The born millionaire crooked, swindling, racist real estate developer and the second generation politician.

Well, what has JT ever done?
                        With his own two hands.
Has he ever been in a real life fight?
                        (Except for now haha)
                        For business or personal survival?
What are his credentials for management?
                        Achievements?
That's a short list. Of questions. Even shorter of answers.
Hilarious to note the difference in how the two even sit in a chair.
                        Living in a fishbowl.
                        The weak shall perish.

I wouldn't have thought it would be that hard to find a party who aligned with your views. They all seem to be very willing and capable of grossly mismanaging my tax dollars, and all seem to desire increasing control over my life, choices, rights, words, and even thoughts. Do none of them go far enough for your tastes?
