I started listening to CBC's "As It Happens " in 1968. Saturday was the best , Arthur Black, Captain Radio with Jack Farr, Royal Canadian Air Farce, Quirks and Quarks, Vickie Gabereau, there were others but can't remember them all, but I still listen to " As it Happens". CBC is not of the quality it once was and they do stumble from time to time and people are allowed to call them on it.

And as usual, the best part is that those on the left attacking the wall, and comparing it to the Berlin wall, don't even realize the irony in that.

The Berlin wall had to be erected to keep people IN an oppressive, socialist, violent police state, who were willing to risk their lives to escape into the free democratic almost capitalist other side, where they were welcomed with open arms. There was no other way to get out, except through extortion(which provided a large majority of East Germanys GDP in later years, arrest someone because their neighbor heard them say something unflattering about the system, torture them while extorting relatives in the west to buy their way out). Out of the kind of Socialist state where free speech wasn't even permitted, the kind that the left here is trying to create. If not for the Berlin wall, there would have been no one left in East Germany, they all would have gone west.

The Mexico US wall isn't even to keep people OUT, is to keep people from bypassing the legal means of immigrating, or bypassing the legal channels of bringing legal products into the US. The very country whom the Socialist leftists world over love to criticize, and berate and protest because of the inequity. Oblivious to the fact that people will do almost anything to get into and enjoy a little piece of the prosperity and freedom, which the leftists are trying so hard to destroy. After all, the unequal distribution of wealth beats the equal distribution of poverty any day. And freedom trumps oppression always.

I'm not quite as old( or anywhere near), and I tend to disagree with almost all of the political rhetoric on the CBC, but I too listen to AIH, Quirks and Climate Change( as they need to rename it), Ideas ( even though it is terribly biased, it is still educational and thought provoking), Under The Influence is the best thing on the radio, This is That was always amusing(especially the first time you hear it, and don't realize it is a parody, the other comedy shows are good, but can't help themselves from the pro Trudeau, anti Trump/Harper no matter what the topic might be.
