    Doyon Rig #36

    Currently being built in Nisku...

Going to work in Alaska for Conoco-Phillips in 2020.

This is a rig/camp/self contained and self moving drill.

Designed to drill to 10,000 meters, one pad many directional Wells drilled with RST and gyro technology.

Like an offshore rig for land.

Engineered in Canada. Built in Canada.

It shows what we are capable of... Our sleeping potential.

    Will never work here

What constantly amazes me is those on the left and in the environmental movement promote that we can replace all the economic activity related to oilfield manufacturing equipment and production in Alberta with solar panels imported from China(yeah that country that doesn't want our canola) or windmills imported from Denmark or the USA. Alberta has and for that matter Canada has pioneered many aspects of oil production and shutting this down like Justin Trudeau and his former right hand man Gerry want would definitely slow down our economy. This rig is certainly just one example of what Canadians can do, very impressive.

Harper commits to stopping fossil-fuel use in Canada by end of the 21st century
Although his children will not likely be around to see it, the PM joined other G7 leaders in committing to ending all production and use of carbon-based energy by 2100

"And Harper’s response staked out unexpected territory for a country with huge fossil fuel reserves, stating that Canada’s energy producers must be ready to transform their industries with new technologies."

Promising something in 100 years was just politics.
Initiating it for %100 obsolescence in 35 like Butts did, stupid.
Jobs outside Quebec meant nothing to the govt.
Promising a new unfound technology will save us while killing the one feeding us and funding r&d, stupid.

The two are not the same thing at all.

The Chinese are eager to clean up their environment. But primary motivator will always be an eye on prosperity.
Without that, the rest is buffalo chips.
