Yup we put a harmless Chinese lady under house arrest that has nothing to do with any of us and will cost us billions in trade but give a terrorist 10.5 million and the ability to buy a strip mall .

This China issue is on the US .... not Canada, especially not western Canada, same with Kadar ... yet it’s in our face and on our dime .

Read peoples comments on the CBC article and you soon realize Canada has some very stupid people. They blame it all on Trump. Or trade with the USA and forget China or don't grow Canola.

I think we blew this so bad it won't come back and if the USA and China get the deal that looks like it will happen. We will be shipping grain to the USA for a discount and they will then ship to China.

Yesterday Japan shipped Canola to China, let that sink in for a profit.

Trump did start all this shit we don’t have people here in government or opposition or representation from farm groups that can handle the fallout. And he’s losing his battles also trade deficit with China increased for the USA. He’s a shitshow causing the start of all this.

Just an fyi shes only a piece of the puzzle theres more to it, ASF is killing massive massive numbers of hogs in China, they just don't need the meal for feed and this is also factoring large in this.
They arent going to come out and admit they have a massive problem, but they do.

I think ASF and the massive destruction of the Chinese hog herd is the main reason for the cancellation of the canola permits. In the mean time why not raise some political shit and let us think its retaliation for the Huawei deal. Shit, maybe we will let her go? Either way they don't need the canola and shitty for Canadian farms.

Have hog prices or pork exports to China increased? What are they doing to make up for the lost pork production? Or is that shortage only looming at this point?
