    Agriville In The News

https://outline.com/LTqw9s Farmers single out Trudeau for canola crisis

mentions the forum further down in the article. That's good because then SF3 can really let loose.

Some farmers have taken to the internet to voice their frustrations. On any given day, the busiest place for farm talk across the region is an online forum called Agriville, where local farmers trade gossip, tips and advice, and where conversations often devolve into complaining about everything from land rental prices to weather. Privately, some farmers nickname the site “Angryville.”

Is this accurate...in Fort Macleod, “We’re seeding right now,” Mr. Vandervalk said. “And we don’t know what to do.”

Sorry but the government response has not been sufficient. We re losing over 2,000 dollars a semi load of canola. Can’t even move it in some areas due to no bids. Other crops will reduced in price you can bet that. Spring seeding is coming guys are in a jam for spring payments. And all the canola groups can say is it’s sufficient? I think maybe knock off 15 or 20 percent of your salaries and some months don’t get paid, and then tell me if that’s sufficient. Why are they not demanding a top up to price from our government? Why are they not demanding a loo at why the pst and carbon tax should not be on farmers. Why all input costs are going up?

Fertilizer, seed, fuel, crop premiums, are all going up. The Saskatchewan governments hammering of farmers in the pst and land rents all are ongoing. Carbon tax is coming. And these people are acting like we re just whiners and it’s all ok??? Haven’t even mentioned how grossly destroyed the farm stability program is. All while all these people get their guaranteed cheques off of our industry.

And no this is not just a truduea thing this is a problem that we don’t have representation to truduea or who ever he government is. That’s the problem.

If the conservatives form the next government ......can anyone tell me who would qualify to be the federal ag minister?????

Because I don't see an MP from the conservative field that would do anything for agriculture ....they are really too quiet about the agriculture issues...

I always said people read this site.

It's not angerville it what real farmers are seeing and saying about the current farming conditions in Canada.

            Its reality, not sugar-coated.

Truth hurts some times and feelings get hurt.

Agreed. I read most posts. I am on the “outside looking in” position, so kind of like a referee for lack of a better term. The truth does hurt. As described by another contributor the industry has evolved over decades into a parasite/host relationship. Its all about managing expenses and protecting margins, then the physical act of farming happens. I don’t have any brilliant solutions other than grind down your suppliers costs the best you can because ultimately nobody cares about your operation except for you.
