The point is there is a lot of Canadian tax dollars that get thrown around over seas lately to “causes” that are totally against what Canadians here hold as values and human rights issues.
It’s money Canadian tax payers can’t afford to give away when our own war vets , seniors and even First Nations are needing more assistance.
That and let alone the huge loss in our pulse and canola markets lately to crop producers and yet zero mention in last budget. Ohh but the supply management got a boast , forgot about that.
Anyway , with all the virtue signalling being done it is confusing to see where Canadian tax dollars disappear to in far off lands that will contribute zero back to Canadians.

If this is true it’s wrong. Sending cash to these countries does nothing for the people it just gets pocketed by those in power the poor remain poor. Why not send food aid like we use to because those on the take don’t need food.

Back in the day a lot of foreign aid was administered through the Canadian Wheat Board. Canada’s reputation as humanitarian was envy of the world.

According to the info graphic we spend over 15 billion on foreign aid, a number not even grounded in reality. I get that maybe we should reduce foreignaid and specifically to some undesirable countries, but when your numbers are blatant lie to rouse hatred and anger, how is the conversation even supposed to start. For the most part I agree with everything you said. But why where we not helping natives and vets when the conservatives where in power. This is not about one or the other, this is about responsible spending and spreading lies certainly wont help our case.
