That's for the people from Toronto looking into our site after the Globe & Mail article.

The Canola shit show is the Federal Liberal Gov. Fault and Farmers will hurt badly.

But hey were only a 27 billion dollar business.

Enough about how stupid this county is being run.

Carbon tax costs farmers everything is up don't let the stupid liberals fool you our diesel doesn't have it added. Yea but every single thing delivered to our business has and we can't pass those costs on. Especially when we keep losing markets like India, and Now China.

Ok, It's great to be back in Canada, for the weather, not the business climate. The USA is the place to be and how I wish I could stay down south all the time. Example sell your farm in ND and take your cash as an American to Florida. Zero tax on your investment return. Zero. Yep, Florida is full of Older retired people, wonder why?

Did Become a Temporary Florida Resident working on some other things who knows.

Crop Report for End of March Begining of April.

The melt is on, south of the valley very little runoff and almost all the snow is gone. North of the valley the further you go there is a runoff and sloughs are filling. Not to the levels of other years and the frost has to come out but sloughs and dugouts are getting water.

Funny all the Chemical reps and Fert and seed reps know when a farmer gets home. I think I met every single old and new rep we will have this week. All except my BASF rep who is still missing in Action. I guess it's really easy I did send back their seed.

Programs are programs one I like this year is climatefieldview.com. Mother corps is not fun to work with and you guessed it everything costs. So we are looking into the above. Anyone use it or have experience send me a note. I think it has a place with our system.

For our farm, the Cleaner is the start of spring and I will be honest once the seed tax comes to be we will make that building a shed as the whole idea is to get farmers to switch over to 100% certified seed so everyone can make money except the farmer. We will have no advantage to clean our own since you will pay on every bushel. Its a mistake and like I posted earlier let's keep adding costs to Canadian Ag and it will soon be replaced by countries that don't give a shit about high costs gimmicks.

Seeding plans are being worked on and yes I said take your seed back April 1st to show how bad everything is in Rural Canada. Some laughed some did but every single farmer better realize if this doesn't get settled by fall and an election is held it will be spring of 2020 before we have any movement. Don't let our organizations and everyone connected to the Gov fool you and say we're working on it. It's a shit show and they know it.

So for 2019 here is what I think will happen.

    In our area.

HRS will be same as last year to up slightly. for us 4500 acres.

Canola will be the crop that no one is adding acreage in our area or pushing the rotation. it will be a cleanup year, No one is going Field of dreams balls to the wall. For us its 4000 acres. Yes, a drop but we will concentrate on these acres.

Flax we are not seeding but definitely, it is on the rise for a crop of choice for 2019.

Oats acres will be up and they are the swing acres we have seed cleaned and will use if the weather gets ugly in spring and we are delayed.

Barley is going up all over but lots are growing FEED because of the strong price this year. Ah, an old marketing tool you're a year too late. We are sticking with Malt and yes getting all new seed as a requirement even if ours is 98% original. Our acreage 1000 right now.

Peas call me a sucker and yes I hate the fact our leader danced in India like a fool and did nothing. So it is now a year gone by and still a huge tariff. Ah, Ralph, it didn't work out with India and a year is gone so why do you think it will work with China. The shit show will still be ongoing next spring. 500 Acres.

The swing acres will be oats and it will either come out of Wheat or Barley.

    So Wheat up
    Canola Down
    Oats maybe back
    Barley Up
Flax up in the area but not on our farm
    Peas flat.
Lentils we cant grow so no go.
    Soy Done for now.

Oh, one note for the guy who was quoted as farmers are seeding and it is an issue. AH, I have been interviewed enough times and yes they don't understand or listen very well. We farmers all know you meant Farmers will be seeding shortly and it is on there mind.

Have a great week and enjoy the great spring weather in Saskatchewan. I am no longer saying Canadian or Canada, I'm from Saskatchewan the only province with a balanced budget.

    Proud of being from Saskatchewan.

Back in highschool under the NDP i never in my wildest thoughts would have said that.

Oh, one more thing our Useless leader of Canada had a bad night at a posh liberal fundraiser. WHo would want to support this idiot is my first question.

He was heckled and two were escorted out. Ah, you poor baby did you go home and cry to mommy.

I still say the fool will step down before the election and have a nervous breakdown. He will then check himself in for mental health reasons. The public will eat it up and he will do speaking engagements.

    Watch.

Don't ever trust a liberal its all about keeping their phony balonie jobs.

Still no ambassador to China, time for Trudeau to resign and go back to living off a trust fund.

A lot of farmers talking about boycotting Syngenta/ChemChina.

Actually doing some calculating this morning, I am not sure if I am just grumpy this morning but canola isn't exactly exciting me for 2019. I have figured out 20% of my acres are easily swapped into more barley or oats. Talked to my retailer and canola that is paid for will be switched to herbicides for the swing acres.

          Seed cleaning done here
Time to start working on machinery now .
Need a big shop , for the past 15 years lol
Will be a challenge to get everything ready this spring , not much done last fall.
Moving grain around into empty hoppers just in case it needs to be moved beforee the end of June .
Also rechecking hrsw samples again , some falling numbers are right on the edge of feed so all remaining needs to be rechecked .... again .... frustrating, never had to deal with this ever before .
But that snow we had that laid the crop flat caused way more issues than just a brutal harvest .
The only good thing is that all the crop we did have kept well over winter .
Snow is about 50% gone , the water just starting to move , the melt has slowed which is good for us here

The peanut gallery gonna have a field day with your adjusted seeding plans SF3, you added back more canola......

Snows gone, seed is cleaned, retailer already phoning to take canola seed, sales in full swing, I’d say its spring.

With all the BS going on its easy to get the spirits down but have to realize why you started doing it in the first place. Some it was money and well ur in for a rude awakening, some it was the love of farming and the lifestyle, and well ur in for a rude awakening too. Rainbows and unicorns my friends.....

Herc your right the haters will haves field day. Personally I couldn’t give a shit about any of them anyways.

The 500 less is me straitening out fields. The 500 could be still switched downward so 1000 less possibility.

Trudeau is a piece of shit idiot last night proves it again.

All who vote for this moron need to carry a sign so we can avoid them

Ah great day to be outside

                SF3 ....My friend....a question....

Why do you think giving weekly updates will help?

                Industry won't report shit. ...

Reporting the news after at the end of the week with thank you notes is borderline retarded on my part....

Industry wouldn't report ever...they might have to if they want government help on the canola issue...

if there is govt support, it will go for a payment to seed companies as compensation for the trade war they will say trump caused. You can bet that's the messaging. Supports (including political) to individual farmers will equal zero and they will do nothing to rescue the market cause GMO. We were a sitting duck for this.

It won’t as no one cares about primary producers.

Oh wait they care that we take product seed Fert Chem and that we pay otherwise they don’t give a **** about us

I think he covered it in his opening post "Hey, if they can make up shit so can we"

Seems like that would be a fitting disclaimer in front of all of his posts.

This year I consider myself fortunate to the extent that my rotation included less canola than usual, under 30% of acres this year. Feed barley seed like Austenson has been sold out for a month here so it appears more barley was already in the plans. It will be interesting to see how many canola acres are taken out of farmer's rotations if any.

Canola number one priority followed by steel....pulses were not mentioned....

                              The ****ing jerkoff.....
