    Interesting comments CBC

Some very uniformed comments from the general public after this article....

    https://www.cbc.ca/radio/thecurrent/the-current-for-april-1-2019-1.5079280/carbon-tax-will-turn-sustainability-efforts-into-a-fight-for-bottom-line-warns-farmer-1.5079283

    “Saskatchewan will burn up .....”
well , let me know when that happens , cause I am tiered of losing crops to frost at the end of May or end or August / early September.
Arctic ice was supposed to be all gone by now ....

Reality is that 80% of Canadians believe they will get a carbon rebate from the rest of us .... the only reason they support the carbon tax .

CTV had the same reports. They are saying climate change is irreversible.

I m waiting for the conservatives to announce their climate change plan? I thought they didn’t believe in climate change? It will be interesting to say the least.

Are we paying this new carbon tax only because our government didn’t implement our own plan?
Because I hear the conservatives are announcing their plan???? So that means they believe in climate change caused by us humans?

Maybe they never heard of a little thing called the dirty thirties or the 80s when our carbon emissions were a fraction of what they are today.

Its all socialism and envy. Someone else is going to get hurt and I am going to benefit from that, I will vote for it. Canada is full of small envious people.

              Maybe poorly informed. Ignorant?

Germany is always trotted out as a Renewable energy leader as the have been investing heavily to the point of damaging their economy.

They generate about 649,119 GWh of which 29% is from renewable source.

Canada produces a similar 667,438 GWh of which 65% is from renewable source.

Number 2 among top 20 producers. USA is about 15%.

Dirty,Dirty Canadians. Keep apologizing. Your going to fry in the dark by 2030. Dirty Polluters! Shame on you! Shame!

Before you point fingers and claim others are poorly informed and ignorant, perhaps you should consider that between 1990 and 2017 Germany actually reduced fossil CO2 emissions (78% of 1990 level in 2017) whereas Canada increased fossil CO2 emissions (135% of 1990 levels in 2017). Even US did better than Canada by maintaining emissions at 1990 levels. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_carbon_dioxide_emissions https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_carbon_dioxide_emissions

Electricity generation is not the only GHG emissions and to claim Canada is so much better than Germany without taking into consideration the greater hydro generation that Canada has been blessed with due to geography/rivers shows actually shows ignorance.

Well if it is , drop the carbon tax lol .
I need a warmer climate so we don’t get frost damage in late spring and early fall .
