Yup, people are real concerned about climate change. I'll say it again....driving Junior to the hockey rink in an air conditioned 3/4 tonne truck or gas guzzling SUV so the future "potential" NHLer can skate on articial ice in the heat of July. Or having a single NHL game in Mosaic Stadium at the end of October....you know that ice is going to be made with an ice plant. Or too many lights on over night in empty office towers. Too many vehicles with one person in them on construction sites. There are countless examples of waste....both socially and personally, so it only matters when it affects you? Otherwise its business and life as usual?

I wish people would quit the dumb****ery of comparing Germany and Canada on any level.
28 times smaller than Canada (size of Southern Ontario)
Over 2x population than Canada
Been remotely civilized for 1200 plus years longer than Canada - they have basic infrastructure already in place for everything, everywhere. They had cobblestone roads and legendary music composers while everyone was still paddling canoes here, chucking spears at buffalo.

Actually, when some uninformed brainwashed propagandist trots out Germany's Energiewende as a comparison, consider it a gift that you can throw right back at them. Germany's transition has been an economic and environmental disaster. Their CO2 has gone up to thanks to the massive amount of unreliables. Their costs have skyrocketed, driving businesses out. It has been politically as unpopular as the migrant crisis. And it is only remotely possible because their relatively sane neighbors close by who are willing to sell them power at extortionate rates to make up the shortfalls, and take their excesses if the Germans pay them enough to get rid of it.
