Central SK vs Mb and AB

Was recently talking with friendsthat farm and a few that operate elevators.... Something came up... Southern MB and central Alberta elevators have had zero issues or almost zero taking grain at all times of all kinds...

Then around here it's contracts are 3 months late. Can't take wheat were taking barley. Can't do flax busy with canola.

    Peas next month.
    Barley in June
Oats last week and again maybe in May

Is this only a function of a lack of rail freight or because grain companies know we're too far from any market to make hauling direct (usually) viable?

What are others from Tisdale/PA down to Regina / moose jaw seeing?

That's exactly what I'm seeing here too. Hauling January barley today and was told don't take my time doing it because they could change their mind at anytime.
Hauled my October oats three weeks ago.

I've got 6 terminals within 14 miles of my farm. You would think there would be more completion....

            Same gong show here .
But the trend is if your over 10,000 ac your grain gets moved , it is what it is .
The smaller the operation the more the delay . Just a fact of business nowadays.
Lots of excuses on the rail service here though . When you hear of great rail service and deliveries else where it makes one wonder what the real deal is .
