    Friday Thank you notes

Thank you for people that attended the rally...

Thank you for all the leaks in the liberal party...

Thank you to the media for continuing the story ...

Thank you to the saskatchewan liberal MP that won't answer my letters....

Thank you for the rise on fuel prices before the carbon tax took place and then they hiked it again...

Thank you to farmers starting to recognize we need weekly reporting thats transparent....its taken a long time...the US has did this since the mid 70s ....now that a certain canadian grainco gets hurt its becoming a little more important????????

take time tomorrow to reflect and hug your family or neighbour...even just for a couple of minutes...or at a stop sign.

I think there should be a hockey stick at every stop sign everywhere....

You know that crash was tragic but a lot of people still drive like retards out there and its not truckers. Daily I see sh*t that makes me shake my head. People ducking a weaving to gain a second in traffic and then sit at the next light. People commuting downtown in F350s. Kids with fast and furious cars and a death wish. Aggressive soccer moms. Bald aging men with audis. People who are too old too drive. New Canadians driving like they do in the former soviet union.

I don't see why there isn't a 5 yr drivers test for everyone. I bet you would take half the drivers off the road tomorrow.

Yesterday, The convoy (more than 700 trucks, mostly semis and rigs of some sort) came right through Regina and I followed and drove right into the exhibition grounds to Queensbury with no problem at all. Thanks to the city cops, great planning and courteous drivers, the day went on without a hitch. Says a lot to me!

Over sized highly reflective hockey stick paid for by fundraising with logos on them....mounted between the ground and the stop sign...just to take an extra second to think about the repercussion of not stopping....everyone should know the story....otherwise a person might start to wonder why is a hockey stick at a stop sign....they would understand soon enough...

Sugar coating the pump price increase for the public by taking the April 1 "shock value" out of the equation through a gradual week over week price increase preceding carbon tax day should be investigated. That should be a case of fraud, and the public was entitled to be shocked on April 1. So service stations, you have nothing to be proud of by your March practice.

On the other hand, unlike bucket, because they don't let me out much, lol, I did not notice any April 1 increased pump price even though barrel of oil price has increased from high 50s to over 63.00 today. Perhaps the stations are repaying their carbon grab to the public from March. Bucket is saying "no" in his district.

Before highway stop signage in this province is added to, or cluttered onto, I hope that there is a consultation period for written concerns because I have concerns. That comment has nothing to do with bucket's heart being in the right place over a tradegy.

I just throw ideas out....it's always good to hear all sides...no problem with that...

I have crossed major highways in the bare prairies without noticing a stop sign....it was on my way to Watrous from Chamberlain....I think I went right over highway 2....

Still haunts me today...luckily no was with me and there was no accident. ....

Well there is a stop sign .
The side road enters the curve in highway.
You could see where the semi trailer tires had gone thru the grass took out the sign.
It was only a matter of days the RM or highways put up a new sign.
                    It lasted 2 days.
Could have been the same guy.
Now there is a 2ft hunk of steel
At the base of the post.

Hunk of steel isn’t much of a solution but makes changing the sign easier.

Autos never used to have the third brake light top Center of vehicle, wonder how many lives have been saved?

Back to signs, I’ve seen many that have a solar panel on the post with high intensity lights around the sign to help with visibility and awareness, it’s easy and cheap. Educating drives won’t help distracted drivers or oblivious drivers either.

Access road signs to well sites, one company has gone to a roll away cement dough-nut design in this area. I love them for ease of movement, mow through, roll them back in place. Anchored signs are a bitch to maintain.

A single sense like vision can become overloaded at a cluttered intersection to become distractions. It has to be KISS, or an angle to activate a another sense. It is why I like rumble strips in advance of stop signs.

Or in the case of the odd bat shit crazy farmer that uses this site, perhaps their radar would work!

All the good drivers must have been in Regina then. On my way home from work yesterday I had 2 semis pull out in front of me with no time to get up to hiway speed before I had to brake hard and 2 didn't stop at brake check turn out on river hill.
