Hunk of steel isn’t much of a solution but makes changing the sign easier.

Autos never used to have the third brake light top Center of vehicle, wonder how many lives have been saved?

Back to signs, I’ve seen many that have a solar panel on the post with high intensity lights around the sign to help with visibility and awareness, it’s easy and cheap. Educating drives won’t help distracted drivers or oblivious drivers either.

Access road signs to well sites, one company has gone to a roll away cement dough-nut design in this area. I love them for ease of movement, mow through, roll them back in place. Anchored signs are a bitch to maintain.

A single sense like vision can become overloaded at a cluttered intersection to become distractions. It has to be KISS, or an angle to activate a another sense. It is why I like rumble strips in advance of stop signs.

Or in the case of the odd bat shit crazy farmer that uses this site, perhaps their radar would work!

All the good drivers must have been in Regina then. On my way home from work yesterday I had 2 semis pull out in front of me with no time to get up to hiway speed before I had to brake hard and 2 didn't stop at brake check turn out on river hill.
