    The last 15 years or so have been the friend of many a balance sheet... whether they will turn out to be friends of yours, mine, and many others for much longer is uncertain.

    Many bet that it was a new trendline. But taken over a longer timetable, the trend has most certainly not been our friend. Long term commodity deflation in real terms, and at best, steady input prices in real terms taken over say the last 25 or even the last 50, would seem to show the last 15 have been only an abberation.

    But then again:
    - they're not making any new land...
    - the population is growing rapidly...
    - and it's becoming more affluent...

      Another 1/4 inch rain over the weekend so were at a 1/2 in this spring South of 16 to the Valley. South of valley drier.

      Guys south of 16 will not be pushing the envelope and do Canola on Canola. North might but then look where all the Club root is.
