One Hundred Forty Five Million Metric Tonnes

    http://agrovoz.lavoz.com.ar/agricultura/gobierno-confirmo-cosecha-record-33-millones-de-toneladas-mas-que-ano-pasado?fbclid=IwAR1W1I4qOBjTiRJ8iEYkLpfmh3a7zbsw_v Mw3zUmk73Lt0m0KoT200pGRbY From Agrovoz

Argentina's first post harvest report is in... Confirming what everyone already knew.

This crop was a monster. 30% larger than last year, and surpassing their biggest ever in history, surpassing the last record in 16/17 by 8 million metric tonnes.

In Other Argentine news, 2nd crop beans (those planted after wheat) are surprising in their yields... New breeding technology for shorter and shorter season beans...

    Again, Agrovoz:
In recent days, the collection of second-season soybeans, planted behind wheat, has begun, which prolong the optimism around the current heavy harvest .

The Strategic Guide for Agriculture (GEA) of the Rosario Stock Exchange (BCR) noted in its weekly report for the core area that some 130,000 hectares have already been raised with yields averaging 39.6 quintals per hectare, a value that nothing has to envy to 43 quintals per hectare of soybeans first. Historically, the gap was always greater.

One in three coarse grains will be "Cordovan"
The Rosario entity, in this context, reiterated that Marcos Juárez leads by a wide margin the ranking of yields at the national level. In the case of second-rate soybeans, maximums of up to 54 quintals were reached. In parallel, peaks of up to 155 quintals in corn were observed in this region.

Well fertilized, late corn is not envious of the early
    National panorama

In its Weekly Agricultural Panorama (PAS), the Bolsa de Cereales of Buenos Aires agreed that the results of soy are getting better. In fact, it extended its national harvest forecast from 53 million tons to 55 million.

"The collection of soybean registered a great boost during the previous days and continues surprising with high yields. The greatest weekly progress was made in the North and South Core regions, where harvesting is already progressing even on second-hand lots. The recorded productivities exceed the forecast of a large number of employees, "said the Buenos Aires entity.

    The harvest continues adding tons
The national average yields so far stands at 40.4 quintals per hectare, the second highest for this same date in the last 15 campaigns, only exceeded 0.1 quintals for the 2014/15 season.
    40.4 quintals/ha is 45 bushels/acre.

Then, when it comes to logistics, this incredible harvest is mobilized and heading to port... Taxing a very modern and efficient system, so what happens? More trucks, more shifts, more logistics is added to the country...

In the coming days, the harvesters will begin to accelerate their passage through the agricultural fields of Cordoba, with an arduous work ahead: between soybeans, corn and peanuts they will raise more than 32 million tons, according to the estimates of the Bolsa de Cereals de Córdoba

Under this scenario, from the stock market estimate that 1.1 million trips by truck will be needed to the stores, processing plants or ports, almost double those used last year.

Although there is no exact record, in Córdoba it is estimated that there are around 30 thousand trucks that are insufficient to be able to mobilize such production. Therefore, in the transport sector they recognize that this year they will "import" units from other provinces.

"We estimate about two thousand more trucks. Big volumes of soybeans, corn and peanuts are going to be gathered and we are going to need reinforcements, "admitted Pablo Trapani, president of the Cordovan Federation of Automotive Freight Transport (Fecotac).

That is the figure, he said, that will be managed through the associates of the Argentine Confederation of Car Freight Transport (Catac), to which Fecotac belongs. Trapani discounted that other truckers will also enter to take advantage of the situation, which in other campaigns generated conflicts with the locals.

Meanwhile, Fecotac will also increase internal work to make logistics more efficient. The association has an application ( app ), through which carriers can know in which areas there are more requirements and that now will incorporate cargo donors. "The idea is that if, for example, in Huinca Renancó there is an offer, but in Alejandro Roca there is demand, that the transporter can know and can move to work," said Trapani.

In the national government they are also aware of the greater flow of heavy units that will move to the ports. During a conference held at the Grains Exchange of Córdoba, the director of Transportation of Cargo of the Nation, Guillermo Campra, estimated that this year there will be 2.5 million downloads of port terminals. "Last year we did not even reach two million. In years we reached 2.4 million, "he added.

Campra focused his dissertation on the benefits of the mandatory shift system for grain unloading in ports (Stop). "In the case of wheat, the discharge time was lowered from an average of 14 hours to one of seven," he said.

The official estimated that the fulfillment of the shifts exceeds 50 percent and reiterated that it is essential that both freight forwarders and carriers, comply with these procedures to reduce the traffic problems that usually result in access to the Great Rosary.

This year, about seven thousand daily shifts are being used (not counting weekends). "We want to prepare the logistics not for 140 million tons, but for 200 million," he said.

Wow, Argentina creating jobs. The Chicoms will be smiling, and licking their chops at all those beans.
Do they(Argentina) have a carbon tax?

Argentina's beans go everywhere not just china. They are the biggest processor of beans in the world too, much of them will leave as meal and oil.

There is no carbon tax. There is no talk of carbon tax.

In Vaca Muerta it took 6 months from the announcement of a pipeline to construction... It's what we need to regain. The speed and efficiency of expansion... The momentum of development.

Won't happen - as countries age their societies get lazy, stagnant and less productive and make things happen slower - partly the NIMBY effect. Look at the global empire the Romans were running more than 2000 years ago - today Italy couldn't organize a p#$@ up in a brewery.

Little more complicated than that. Who is going to buy all this new production? That is the problem we have now: everything is in surplus. Have been hauling grain lately: is it normal for the elevator to be this quiet just before seeding time? The last 5 loads, hauled in this week, I am the only guy there with a truck bigger than a pickup and I only have a tandem.

Klause....why do you live in this Country? Your postings and knowledge show that Argentina is the land of milk and honey. I want to go there, but it’s the fear of the unknown and the roots we have here keeps me from pursuing it.
