I believe that Trudeau is like many of his companions. Clueless to what Canada really is. We live and die on those resource exports, period. There should be no policy hirer than resources and trade for us. None. Not diversity, not gender, not reconciliation, nothing. Without those trade relationships we are a northern backwater. There is never going to be a tech revolution here or green jobs or whatever.

Ever notice the difference between the US economy and Canadas. When they announce booming job numbers, you clearly see the companies expanding, relocating in, setting up huge operations. Ours never has that. When was the last time you heard of a company relocating to Canada or a new tech hub the govt didn't pay for. Most of our job gains are probably low end and little wider contribution to the country. So be it. Then we should accept our fate and become a powerhouse in the resources we have.

serious question...what would you have them do? Land prices are hitting new records at every sale, equipment is going up in price almost daily this is all driven by the market...us.

The best thing any government can do in my opinion is get out of the way and let us produce. Kill useless red tape, reduce taxes and bureaucracy, improve infrastructure and provincial relations. and for gawd sakes try not to piss off all our trading partners, how hard can that be?

Killing the carbon tax is a very good first step.
