Its been snowing lightly here most of the day but doesn't seem to be alot of accumulation. I think the ground is warm enough to melt most of it. This is good.

Enjoy the moisture, zero here. If it snowed here it would be MINUS 10! We will wait for liquid form, several days in forecast, but since it's only a week, not 12 years when it is accurate to tenths of a degree world wide calculation of thousands of sites, it could be all BULLSHIT and change. Temp at noon today.Last edited by fjlip; Apr 28, 2019, 21:26.

4 tenths of rain here and then snow. Hard to say how much but looks to be 12 inches or better. Drifts of 4-5 ft across some roads. Heavy and wet. We ar 25% seeded and seeding conditions were good for the most part with wind drying things out quickly. Won't turn a wheel here for 7-10 days me thinks.

Which apps do you use Bigzee?
How many radar sources could there be that cover Westen Canada as extensively as Environment Canada? I realize their network has alot to be desired.
Are some of the apps you use using nothern States radar and your area is covered by the fringes of those radar stations? Would the northern Canadian grain belt have any options other than Enviro-Canada?
In the summer I sometimes watch Montana radar to track approaching lows.
Radar is what, a ten minute delay in real time precipitation....unlike animated "forecasts" that try to determine the amount of precip and tracking of coming systems....their educated best guess. No way to know for sure the exact path or amount until it's passed through.
Computer generated weather models vary
I find Accuweather forecasts quite bizarre, 14 day outlooks....really? Based on what? "Historical" data?
To me, nothing is near accurate more than three days out....seems that's about as far as Lerner is about to venture out.
