Why doesn't our forests and no till farming qualify ...

...For some sort of carbon exemption plan...I don't get why LOblaws and Westons get 12 million for new fridges because they take 50000 cars off the road but farmers don't get a credit of some sort for their efforts of no till farming and cleaner burning more expensive tractors and taking many more than 50000 cars off the road...????

Why is this not pointed out to judges and politicians that think we are not doing enough because we don't believe a carbon tax will help???

Many unanswered questions but when you fight a court case and its based on constitutionality as opposed to whether it will actually help the environment ..it seems there is a ****ed up thought process behind it all...

Why does the Nature conservancy of Canada get 100 million to look after pasture land and do a ****ing shitty job of that ?????

I'm not exactly sure of the timeline on this file but farmers were probably already doing our part sequestering carbon before the global warming cult thought we were in trouble, so what we've been doing for decades doesn't count since climate change is younger than zero/minimum till.

Now that was pure sarcastic bullshit.

It does, Canada is already in a carbon deficit. We should be selling credits. But its the corrupt globalists that have sold this scam and the semi retarded public eat it up without question. Judges are corrupt too.

I think the numbers are that every one percent of organic matter inthe soil equals 12,000 lbs of carbon. The last time we we are able to establish a cover crop we boosted organic matter by 1.5% in one year only. Amazing. But to think that represented 18,000 lbs of carbon?! If that doesn't get the climate dingbats' attention then their agenda is motivated by something other than climate.

It’s because nobody really represents our interests. We get representatives some starting out sounding good but sooner or later they end up going to golf charities and steak suppers with the people they’re lobbying on our behalf, and pretty soon we can’t even tell which one is representing us and which one is the government they both sound the same.

It doesn’t matter because we haven’t even figured out yet if carbon is good or bad. Were taxed to get rid of it but we re being told to buy it and spray it on our fields to grow more food????

Will they jail us if we all hook up to the chisel plows in protest? If we have that much evil carbon stored we could end life on earth in one pass. Lol

Its would be nice if it would warm things up...

Global cooling , then global warming, now just climate change.....how about they all just **** off and get real jobs ....AL Gore made a fortune telling inconvenient mistruths/////outright ****ing lies....while farmers have been shit on for their contribution ....

Very true, but then we need to hold us all to the same standard then. Thanks to the arbitrary dates set out in Kyoto etc., former FSU countries got an automatic pass since they had blown up their industrial economies, and therefore CO2 contributions within that period.

As an added bonus, the higher the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere, the more carbon the soil is able to sequester as well, making the modern beneficially elevated levels of CO2 even more advantageous for farmers and humanity in general.

Every policy coming from progressives is always about envy and victimhood and oppression and shame and blame.

If the world was really ending in 12 yrs you think we wouldnt be actually preparing like relocating cities off the coast? Nah, its all a scam.

How were you able to add 1500 lbs of nitrogen per acre in 1 year? Based on C:N of 1:10 to 1:12.

I've been happy to see organic matter dramatically increase too but only to find out later it isn't possible to increase at the rates being talked about today. There is more than one kind of organic matter apparently - a long term stable "true" organic matter and a shorter term, almost seasonally functioning type. Talk to Martin Entz at UofM and he could explain it better but here is an article with some numbers about increasing soil OM 1% in a year.
