Just use $1.50/bu on 40 canola....$60 off the top. For the high achievers...50bu/ac....$75 off the top.

For people who got $12 the last two years....

What a wild risk we take.
What’s was the GARS net number again from 2011 to 2015? Average was 35 per acre net return I think

**** that, we're being robbed. Canola should be minimum $11.....because I said so. I honestly think the market and demand WOULD still be there but politics got in the way. I don't completely buy the lack of demand for canola because of the Chinese African Swine Flu epidemic either.....Chinese need a pile of cooking oil TOO! There may be less pigs to eat canola meal but I bet that meal could be fed to other livestock just as well(poultry and dairy and cattle).

Maybe after October Canada can try and rekindle diplomatic relations with the Chinese, but I think Canada will need a change of Leadership for that to become a reality.

Sorry to drag politics into a marketing post but for ****'s sake its politics that is to blame.

Well shit. Scheer's new campaign slogan writes itself: "fighting for those in the canola snow rotation, and those trying to join it!"

I'm not in that camp and never was, won't find me there in the future either.

How many mmt were we supposed to grow by when?

"Somebody" needs a new goal and target, how about trying to restore trade?

It all comes down to the same thing every time. The works needs cheap food so we always get the world is going to run out of it story. The farmer starts seeing $$$ signs and over produces the world gets cheap food the farmer gets more dept as reward. They been playing us since the last war.
