      Well you can grow 50bu on $4000 an acre land, or 35bu on $1500 an acre land. economics are pretty clear.

        So guys can sell their 4000 acre land put some money in the bank...buy twice as much land...and then grow the 35 bpa crop...on twice the acres ...technically 70 bpa for the same money...

          We have had a good run up on farmland values. I think it is not unusual for slower growth.
          7% growth is far better than zero growth. Negative growth might tumble the house of cards. That would be a sight! FCC would be having debt write down meetings with all these farmers.
