As we have discussed before, a faster warming arctic and decreased temperature differentials has affected the jet stream and scientists are showing that this is impacting weather patterns which can lead to blocking patterns which can create long term heat waves and cold events.

Atmospheric temperature measurements show an average warming of 0.85 degrees Celsius (1.53 degrees Fahrenheit) from 1880 to 2012, according to the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5). Globally-averaged temperatures in 2016 were 1.78 degrees Fahrenheit (0.99 degrees Celsius) warmer than the mid-20th century mean. According to researchers at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the rate of warming during the first 15 years of the twenty-first century has been at least as great as the last half of the twentieth century. 2016 was the warmest year on record globally, with 16 of the 17 warmest years on record occurring since 2001.

Federal agencies, universities, and research centers around the world have all concluded that Earth is warming. That is based in hard data, such as temperature measurements on land and water around the world over the course of decades.

There no way most of us would EVER believe a WORLD temp accurately measured to a hundredth of a degree! With NO errors, more accurate measuring compared to DECADES ago? Get serious, it's all BULLSHIT made up, estimates, false data! A thinking reasoning person will never accept their numbers.

The line plot below shows yearly temperature anomalies from 1880 to 2014 as recorded by NASA, NOAA, the Japan Meteorological Agency, and the Met Office Hadley Centre (United Kingdom). Though there are minor variations from year to year, all four records show peaks and valleys in sync with each other. All show rapid warming in the past few decades, and all show the last decade as the warmest.



The heat trapping qualities of CO2 are well understood. There may be be small differences in the data sets but the trends are clear, rising global temperatures.

Sea ice decline and glacier decline are the obvious signs of rising temperatures. If you go to the Columbia ice fields in BC it is very obvious that the glaciers are shrinking.

Are you in denial about the shrinking glaciers as well?

Your opinion on the science of climate change is irrelevant. What is relevant is scientific evidence. No one has ever presented published credible scientific evidence from a climate scientist or their organizations backing up your claim this is all made up. The CBC JUST PUT OUT A LEAKED REPORT SAYING THE NORTH IS WARMING AT TEMPERTURES 2.5 TIMES GREATER THAN THE REST OF THE WORLD.... THIS IS WHAT I PERSONALLY EXPERIENCED FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS IN THE ARCTIC...The air quality monitoring stations that were installed after 2000 are a point of faulty data collection. The person who installed them (i helped them find locations for the ones in Inuvik and Yellowknife) were placed in locations to to get 'hits' ... when I asked the person in charge why he wanted them in locations where it would obvious give high readings he told me they want 'hits' so they can get more funding. I thought that was bad science so I would only approve a site that was average air quality for the town of Inuvik by a soccer pitch and no buildings or traffic near it... since they are going to use that single point to represent the surrounding 500 km I felt that was best... the person complained to the SAO and Mayor ... but I held firm on my assertion that the location away from direct sources of pollution was a better location to collect a representative sample. Since I moved away they moved the air quality station next to the boiler end on one of the larger buildings in Inuvik (Midnight Sun Rec Center) obviously to get 'hits' ... the air quality monitoring station in Yellowknife (see pictures) is next to one of the larger sewage lift stations (think pig barn) in the city... I would get calls a couple times a year from environment Canada asking about a high numbers...LOL! so the data from any of these sources are suspect... not because I don't believe data... quite the opposite ... I collect and analyze data professionally... there are serious problems when the data is collected to get 'hits'... the report 'leaked' by CBC has been fixed with 20 years of manipulated data... we are being miss-lead.
If this is happening on Canadas Arctic... where else has the data collected been placed so the monitoring system will get 'hits'?

What do air quality monitoring stations have to do with climate change temperature data? Very little.
Air quality monitors are often put close to sources of pollution like industrial sources

Again there are thousands of scientist working on climate science and the flat earth society bring up an old story that show alleged problems with some data and suddenly all the data is suspect? A stretch, falsehood an and outright lie. Again where is the published climate science to backup your claims?

Chuck, shrinking glaciers are definitely proof of global warming , But can you remind us again what year they started shrinking please. You have had quite a lot of time to research that one should have an answer by now. And more importantly, What is the correlation between that and CO2 emissions

So CC we should hope, wish, pay taxes till the GLACIERS/ICEAGE returns because....why /how would that benefit the planet, humanity? Who the hell says the climate is /was EXACTLY the only climate earth ever should have? Aw come on think!
All the possible ERRORS in measurement of temp or CO2 world wide to two decimal places make any and all graphs, charts , scientist publications, government SCARE tactics EXTREMELY suspect.

And none of the doomsday predictions have come to pass, in fact earth is greener, man has never had such long life expectations, better education, or more food to eat. (Surpluses every year) Wow so terrible isn't it?
