Fire bans and farmers

In our RM if you burn a slough and don't call the controlled burn line and the Fire Dept. shows up you get a bill.

If there is a fireban, the fire dept automatically responds to every fire and you get a bill. $800 an hour plus foam etc. Can add up quick.

SGI has a catchall rider that covers volunteer firefighting, debris cleanup, some unnamed contents etc. You just pick a $ value for your coverage. Look into it.

Hey Furrow,no bills sent out as of yet because of Biggar fire. Lots came in, approximately 300,000$, no help from province and last I heard, it was determined to have started on Rm road allowance.

And here Goodale, Trudeau and McKenna determined climate change to be the cause for that fire. 🙈

Should also have said to Grass, if a Rm has a fire ban in Saskatchewan, and someone chooses to light a fire anyway,and it gets out of control, you have cancelled your liability by disobeying the fire ban.

I sure hope farmers get some help , for *** sakes that’s enough to bankrupt a guy .
