    Ban On Foreign Oil

JHC just about fell out of my chair this morning.

Greens propose banning all oil imports on favor of Ab oil, until we don't need oil anymore. Fortunately that will be a long time yet. We had a project on the books that was going to do that until skippy got elected.

Finally a policy position from the Greens.
But not mentioned in that article, which I heard elsewhere, is a ban on petroleum fuel vehicles by 2025 (I think that was the date). I don’t really care where we go with passenger vehicles (infrastructure will have to exist though), it is the industrial engines that will continue to need diesel for a long time yet. Diesel is very energy efficient.
Watch the CPC get pulled way to the left, without a strong right wing party to balance it out, all parties are shifting leftwards with no end in sight.

Apparently a couple studies out of Germany said the lowest carbon footprint comes from using a diesel powered vehicle vs electric all things considered.

          I could live with that

Did you read the article? No combustion engine passenger vehicles by 2030. No combustion engine vehicles period by 2040. Zero C02 emissions by 2050. So electric tractors, sprayers, combines by 2040! The end of fertilizer by 2040? So where will most farmers be if there fossil fuel powered machinery becomes a worthless boat anchor?

Get May to support banning foreign oil and an energy corridor. let her continue to rumble about phasing out FF in 20 yrs because its not going to happen and when it doesnt, our energy industry will be very stong an not able to be stonewalled again. Her ignorance is our strength.

The writing is on the wall and they see it now. The electorate is going to revolt next election so they are moderating a bit. Just a ploy to help out Horgie and JT. Their colours won’t change.

Usually when equipment leaves this place it’s off to become boat anchors or new pipe. Not a big loss for me. I wonder how big of battery pack it’ll take to run a big fwa on the mix wagon at -40* ???

You are looking at it all wrong, it's not the size of the battery that's important, just need one of them long extension cords on a retractable spool and you are good to go!

I am frequently fantasizing about abandoning my antique tractor but they keep doing the job every year. Then Ritchie Brothers calls to see if I need stuff. I look at past auctions and realize I am losing ground on upgrading.
If there is No rain and $8.00 canola stays until February 2020, RB will even more successful

Yup, zero carbon emissions in 30 years.
The only way that can happen is if the last one leaving the country shuts off the light. Might be OK being Americans.

Our federal carbon tax minister was recently caught on tape in a NFLD bar explaining how she pushes her agenda on the simple pawns.

Climate Barbie is getting to be as big of a fraud as Trudeau.

Yeah apparently she believes that if you shout something loud enough and keep repeating it in the House of Commons people will believe you. Smart phones are going to be the undoing of dumb politicians like Catherine McKenna !!!!!
