And also just announced that MMIW equates to genocide. How does (vastly predominantly) native men abusing native women equate to genocide?
Major dysfunction because of....well probably everything that kept them segregated, alienated, suppressed, loss of way of life and culture, etc. Alcoholism and more recent, both alcoholism and drug addiction.
Measured in years it might take a while to completely right the coarse. Measured in generations.....hopefully one or two.
So....**** donating money to foreign nations and let's make a difference at home first, not a token difference either...a substantial difference. AND IT DOESN'T HAVE TO START WITH GOBS OF ENDLESS MONEY, there needs to be a willingness by the people needing the help to also help themselves.
Systemic chronic destructive cycles to individuals, families and communities need to stop.

How do you ever make that right in a disaster?
Recently we've already had a couple of years here where moisture conditions were "uncomfortable". I can't remember the exact years but it gets scary, and we are there again. This might be a '61 or an '88....the years my Dad tells(61) and reminds(88) me about.
I hope I don't collect Agristability, because if I do then its real shitty.
There seems to be no appetite for ad-hoc government payments to Ag.
Let's see what the next three weeks brings(some people may not have that kind of time). Days tick by and you are either one day closer to a disaster or a crop saving rain, no matter how you look at it, its the waiting that sucks. Being on the edge isn't fun.
Do they care if cattle producers have to cull early or sell off parts of their herd? Do they care that some grain farms may not be profitable this year? Why subsidize large corps but not individual farm businesses that when combined make some of the large corps look like a small insignificant part of the economy.
Maybe Ag doesn't matter?
Typical socialist move....interfere, prevent, block, stymie, discourage, legislate and when you have overcome all the socialist obstacles and succeed, they line up and confiscate hard earned cash with taxes, rules and more regulations.
