No tax on any fuel for any person, whether they farm or not. I'll gladly pay my annual $10,000 private health insurance premium if income taxes are completely eliminated. I'd love to make as much money as I want and not worry about the Feds reaching for it.

Yes, I am free-market capitalist through and through. It's these socialist scum that I have to compete with that **** everything up. Put everyone on an even playing field and let the cream rise to the top based on solid business sense. Those that don't make it will either have to become criminals or off themselves, because there is no welfare in my version either.
How about eliminating central banking and money printing? Asset inflation is how the almost every body who is wealthy became wealthy. Government money printing transfers wealth from saver to debtor. Biggest wealth transfer in all of history and how the overwhelming majority of farm operations today got built.

My concern is losing a bunch of young farmers if things get real bad. They already can't afford to buy the most important asset needed to farm. Ground level entry is almost impossible. Land hardly pays for itself let alone machinery or a living wage to help raise a family. Oh but get a good high paying winter job and subsidize the ****ing thing AND live off the wife's professional salary....ya, just forget it!

Or rent land that an investor bought, they made a down payment and in essence the tennent is making the mortgage payments....it's happening right beside me. Smart investor stupid farmer....but my cousin has 8000 acres, I have to have 8001!!!!! Why make it worth their(invedtors) while? You get the risk of producing the crop and buying/leasing depreciating machinery and the landlord gets the asset! ....there better be something to show for the risk and effort the tennent is taking on. Is it time to take some risk off the table? Let the landlord farm it himself

A wiser man than me once said, "focus on getting better, and bigger will take care if itself." We're in a bizarro world where everyone has convinced themselves that they need to focus on getting bigger, and better will take care of itself...

          Just wondering,
What would happen if rail freight rates doubled?

          If ocean freight rates doubled?

Will have it be an acreage payment plain and simple cattle and grain no bullshit with formulas or waiting for calculations based on things irrelevant from last year like the current programs are.

Scrap agristabikiry immediately top up the crop insurance rebate the retarted premiums.

All can be funded easily if our provincial government wanted to really help farmers instead of drawing funds from us. They need to tell the feds shit isn’t working but hey won’t because they are relying on us to pay for the oil flop.

Moe is more interested in shaking hands with the oil companies that will leave the taxpayers with cleanup costs in the billions and get a sure thing board seat when he is done....

He certainly hasn't acknowledged the issue in the agriculture industry in this province...

But his government has approved handing 40 bucks an acre every year to the irrigation districts for 5 years...

Riverhurst Irrigation district at 15000 acres will receive 3 million over 5 years for 15 farmers with government built infrastructure that is now theirs ...free gratis

Any one know what dryland farmers are getting ?????
