The whole problem with the conservative is they have to suck up to eastern voters just to have a chance of getting into office. That is why harper could not do much in western Canada. Another big problem is is our leftists media and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Which is exactly why it won't matter who we elect, or which party we send our money to, they either have to pander to the ROC at the expense of western Canada, or commit political suicide. Leaving is our only option, and a republican president is more likely to be interested in adding a few more right of center states than a Democrat would be, so we need to act within the next 5 years before the Democrats have a chance to get their act together.

The socialists includes farmers who receive over 3 billion dollars in annual subsidies in Canada. Most of which is safety nets and access to generous and below market credit terms from the FCC.

Plus supply managed farmers receive the states protection with tariffs and border import controls with guaranteed cost of production formulas.

Let us know when you find your utopian free market paradise. It certainly doesn't exist in any G7 or G20 country that I know of.

And sending in the tanks, completely unannounced, to a receptive and welcoming public, who will Welcome them as the liberators they rightfully are, Would be the best possible scenario, causing the least possible economic damage. I have no doubt that there is a contingency plan in place for just this exact situation to happen. And that Canada is woefully unprepared to react to any such thing, Can't even imagine the possibilities that it could happen.

While you accurately described me to a T, I don't go to rodeo's, don't own a gun, and have never defaced a vehicle with a bumper sticker, so must have been a wannabe...

I really do suggest you expand your social circles, and get to know Albertans from all walks of life, you vastly underestimate the level of discontent in Alberta right now. And once again, this is not a left vs. right, or immigrant vs. old stock, or race, religion, etc. issue, Trudeau II has managed to alienate nearly all groups who normally would not find any common ground.

Although, one question remains, what is an indepenDANCE? And will we all have to learn the moves to this new dance? Does it have anything to do with being in a certain brand of adult diapers, and does that then necessitate very specific dance moves? This concerns me since I am not a capable dancer of any type.
