I will give you guys a heads up now. Don't be surprised when it happens. They are looking for tax money to fund a new socialist state concept. They cant raise income taxes because rich people can hire accountants. So they are going after shadow income. Carbon taxes, property taxes and probably capital gains next. Farmers are going to be hit pretty hard in the future with our land bases.

I don't think the conservatives would be much different...has anyone heard a peep out of Scheer on agricultural issues in the past two months????

Just because the west votes conservative doesn't mean we will be any better off...look at what Ritz did to farm support programs....he could have had a funded system in place for the current issues....he gutted them instead ....

First thing I am doing if skippy and singh and may take over is sell my land into my company and book my gains.

Not much I can do about property taxes but those are small compared to hitting capital gains.

Tinkering with farm support programs is a whole different level than going after capital gains exemptions. There are tens of billions of dollars in farmland and houses to go after.

Its very hard for Sheer to get a fair shake in the media. I mean the fawning over Trudeau is beyond anything I have ever seen in my life. Sheers little policy statements are eviscerated in the press for days and weeks. Trudeau get a virtual pass on everything stupid he does or doesn't do. So its a real fine line to walk for the CPC.

Aint bullshit, anyone with a brain can see it. Every story in Canadian MSM that highlights a Trudeau gaffe, follows with a scary Trump story and then something about Ford, Sheer Kenny. Its all a narrative being pushed. Trudeau is a compassionate good guy keeping the forces of Trump and CPC at bay so overlook his incompetence and settle in for progressive utopia. Open your eyes and ears.

With the way the Trudeau Government has been doing of late it should be an easy win for Conservatives - the fact that it's still in contention is a reflection on how poor a choice the Cons made in electing Sheer.
