As we are talking about weather. I got this from meteorologist in Grand Forks, explaining forecasting in Canada. Reason why you can't trust Environment Canada forecast more than 3 days and it will get worse in 2021. Now it makes sense why my US-based forecasts are always more reliable.
"And for those that dont know...beyond 36 hours from issuance the public text forecast from Env Canada is automated (no human input) and based on a a small grid scale Canadian model. Thus why you often will see sunny, clear in the long term and then suddenly within 36 hours it changes. Env Canada higher ups want to complete remove human input into the public text products in 2021 even to day 1....but whether than happens is unknown. The folks in Winnipeg and Edmonton (and other offices) cover a very large area....and they do a great job with some of the restrictions they have."
