Yep Grassy, funniest hail - maybe mushy snow? But in other pictures it appears that the hail was huge because car roofs were pounded in.

There was a little suspense when this was approaching Monday night around 7:30. What was it going to deliver?

        Mother Nature is very powerful.

Looks like the grim reaper coming to “steal the wheat and barley and all the other crops”

Yup that was the Prairies' Jolly Roger Pirate.... but the Ghetto "booty" always falls short of the Pirate's expectations...never as much here as they hope for.....so it had mercy on us and sailed over without much raping and pilaging.

Hail damage from NE of here from Saturday......

That was the moderate damage , it has new growth and stems already should be delayed but ok
Fields farther east are completely wiped out , like a bush hog mower .

1997 and 1999 had early bloom canola mown to nothing but two inch twigs. Worked most down, but what I left still yielded about 15. Those were the days of 15 buck n acre seed and 28 cent N.

So between the 100% hail, the crop insurance, and the crop, I did real well those years. Some guys write off way too easily. The canola in those pics will bush out and be better than it would have been almost.

Who ever saw hail lift vehicles up? it looks more like there was a torrent of water running then it froze but it doesn't look like ice, or hail for that matter - more like old snow but it's only in places as the bushes at the roadside look unscathed. The reports of hail are widespread so it likely happened but I'm not sure what we are really looking at in the pictures with that article.
Rain and melting hail started flowing and carrying debris and falling hail down streets which plugged drainage, increasing movement of water and hail to the point cars were floating. So the low areas of the city ended up with huge piles of hail as the water finally drained into drainage system. More photos and videos:

Forecast at midnight was 80% chance of rain and gale force winds
                      This morning sunny and calm
                      Env. Canada should be scrapped
What a joke when they cant call it 6 hours ahead ?
80% is kinda of a sure thing ?
But can call it 20 years in the future no problem
                      Or a million years back
And the sheeple open their mouths and swallow
