Wheat and Corn down hard again this morning,

Markets open in the USA, on July 1st

Chicago wheat down 14-16cents, Kansas down 17-19 cents, Minni down 15 cents, all in USD. Beans down 6-9 cents.

Seems the USDA report means little to the markets.

Majority of the US corn crop still 35-40 days late .... facts are facts .... they can’t ignore that forever

"Too early" to panic yet, every speculator needs to be in the right "position" before the market rallies.

"Sarcanism", that would be continuous recycled sarcasm.

Looks like the corn train is backing into the station. The big question is where to get on and ride this pup. Opportunity knocks.

One issue i have is with harvest progress report and how it drives prices down at times.

Yield in X when harvest starts. Apart from hail or fire the yield is still X no matter how fast or slow harvest is.

Seems they look for any hint of information good or bad to drive prices one way or the otheer

Wheat prices were slashed by expectations of an accelerated harvest pace this past week.

Analysts expect USDA will report that winter wheat harvest progress doubled last week, moving from 15% complete to 30%. Crop quality is expected to remain steady, with 61% in good-to-excellent condition.

Big effing deal the crop coming of quicker
