That 1.65 was long after the crow was gone.
At scott sask .it was probably95-1.10 for freight . And 50. -65 cents for everything else.
And I googled pretty hard to find the specific rates for different years way back .
Read a lot
But no luck.
I am sure they are somewhere.
Just not smart enough to find them.

I find it odd that some of you blame socialists for everything.
Odder yet since socialists have never been in power federally
In this country.
It is either liberals or conservatives and in sask they are virtually interchangeable. With a new name every ten years.
Liberals are hardly socialist.
They sold off CN .
Both parties have big business connections.
Why do you think. You never got grain market
Transparency . When that was supposed to be the whole idea.
And the liberals will not fix it either.
Both work for the same boss.
So the boss always wins no matter who gets elected.
And yet socialists get the blame.
Great system if you are Cp Cn Bayer Richardson, a Bromfmon
Or a Galen Weston.

Originally the crow was a handout to the railroads.
And they agreed to the deal.
Then somebody realized perpetuity
Was a long time.
And they never gave back the stuff they got in the first place.
So No quite socialism.
We let them out of the deal and
They have been giving us the finger ever since.
They keep saying more more more.
