Every discbine in the county is probably running today here. As the old neighbor says it smells like diesel and alfalfa. Awesome looking crop and hoping to make dry bales but the salt applicators and bale wrapper are on standby as plan B and C.
My wife is out cutting and I’m following a few hours behind her allowing the ground to dry a bit before blowing the swathes apart.

The only time of the year I don’t mind some wind ......... and October 🍀

So what's that you are cutting with? it doesn't look like 19' it's not much wider than your wheelbase. Good luck with the hay anyway - hope the weather holds for you. There seems to be less in the forecast here going forward too.

Lots of guys putting hay down all way to Canora.

Surprised by how thick some fields are.

Nice cut then the next shit all.

Took this pic last night of one of my barley fields, nice colours of the sky to the east blends in nice with the green crop.
