Applied Quilt just as a few of the awns were popping out.
I am led to believe that head size is determined long before fungicide time.

Hopefully you have a good test strip and report back the final yield difference.

We usually try 80 acres against nothing or another product.
Drew has season ending early not like other years hopefully he is wrong.

If I left 80 acres with the difference in head size that would be a huge revenue loss. Unsuspecting there going to be at least 10 or more bu less without the fungicide.

Quilt won’t increase head size, it may give you more plump kernels by keeping the flag clear of leaf diseases. I think allot of these treatments make us see things that aren’t actually there, least its making you feel better about spending the money and tracks.

I agree with bread winner your head size is determined in three to five leaf development. how it fills and if it’s protected when disease hits tells how full the head will be plus plumper healthy seeds.

Some years it works some times your pissing in the wind.

                They get 20 either way

Given the year ...is it worth putting all this extra effort into the crop when feed prices are close to high quality wheats????

They are still buying older varieties that have been moved to a different class because they know its as good as the CWRS and they can buy at a discount....
