    Uneven crops ....

    Went into Stoon today
The unevenness of crops along the way showing up big time now
    Big yellow patch’s In canola
A lot of second growth in wheat showing up big time
It’s going to be a big issue come harvest
There was someone on here spouting off about how good the crops were when they went to AIM . Basically said for guys to quit whining, farming is great blah blah blah .
We it’s blatantly obvious now they have no clue as to what they were talking about .

One more shot of rain would help things here. It would be a thin layer of icing on a flat cake.

Actually things aren't too bad, our most uneven crop is yellow mustard but we will straight combine that and it can hopefully stand there awhile unless some crop thrashing hurricane winds happen, it has before.

Wheat is even, and even our "drag it's heels" Nexera is pretty damn even.

Flax is decent but can wait a long time to harvest, "Headlined" straw takes forever to mature, even at the light rate. Maybe a frost will do it in. I just ducked that left hook you made!

Despite the shitty dry conditions this spring we got off to a decent start.

There are some disasters around though. Next year....

Hopefully there is an open fall , all that late growth is going to need a lot of time

Crop tour up #11 toward S’toon, then over at Kenaston into lentil country. Crops phenomenal around Rosetown, south to Swift some good, some lentils shutting down with no pods, especially reds. Overall crops I’d say 7-9. Crops are further advanced around Swift for sure, lots of peas within the next two weeks.

No need for an open fall here... Mother Nature is providing dessicant free of charge. Doesn't mean some guys aren't still blowing down peas and lentils just to make sure they get enough hours on the sprayer this year...

Mustard is anywhere from yellowing to some just started flowering. It's waving the white flag.

Wheat is turning quickly, and the guys that had 2nd growth will be lucky if the head makes it out of the boot. The leaves are "crunchy" and the head hasnt emerged from the sheath yet.

peas? dessicating nicely... they'll go next week im thinking. Pods on the bottom are decent. Top ones are SOL.

Not to sure what it looks like elsewhere... I've hardly gotten further than 45 miles from home lately.

Majority of the special areas and everywhere south would be similar I'm thinking.

Tipical yr..the good cancels out the bad and average crop again.
Most look ok from the road..
