Ah come on that’s definately whining you’re supposed to say hay is rotting but no one cares because there are so many subsidies given to farmers. If it all rots who cares just sell all the cows that took a couple generations to establish because first you’re likely the only one in cattle left for miles and miles around you must be lonely and second you can get a great big deferred tax benefit. And you can’t enjoy that benefit unless you sell out. Hooray this is so *** easy this farming.

Martin Armstrong is recommending people to do the same, and in fact moved his offices and staff to Florida also. His reasoning is the coming global cooling that he is forecasting, and the ludicrous taxes most everywhere else.

It is remarkable there is a crop here at all.

The reason: June 20th and 22nd. 2.24 inches of rain in that time. July 17-19 measured 6 tenths.
Every other shower this year has been a quarter inch or less. At about 5 inches counting everything down to a trace. Small showers here and there mean no 2 fields have received the same amount. No hail.

As others will attest getting the first good germinating rain the third week in June is not ideal.
A fair crop coming if we can escape the frost. Not enough there to call it good

Well moving anywhere is probably an option because Canada is about to enter a generational death spiral with skippy at the helm, and likely re elected. Sure didnt take long to destroy a country.

Another half inch last night. Hay 2019 a total bust. Animals will starve this winter. 20 inches of rain in two months and still have to buy hay from somewhere else. Fortunately I don't have much livestock but am sorry for the cattle guys. A flood is worse than drought. Hay field full of standing water.
