Supposed to hit +30 today but the fog didn’t lift till noon and now it’s cloudy and still have a jacket on. Only got that warm for two days this year ......... once in April and July.

It came here - will hit 30C this afternoon - with humidex "feels like" 36C ..ugh.
Had a reminder of "west of the 5th" weather the other day when it cooled off a lot one morning. Cows were sitting about contentedly versus the norm here of being bunched up, too hot and eaten by bugs all day through July/August.
Different areas - different issues. The optimum temperature for corn is 30C so at least it's happy here. Went from below knee high to 7' in places in the last month.

I don't mind it - we have air conditioning - tough on livestock though. I think they prefer -30C.

Not the way I wanted to end the 2019 crop but the heat and basically spit rain have moved the crop along. It's catching up but again the ratings will start to drop this week coming up as reports from the farm say it could use a drink. Its exhibition week the most important week for rain for a Canadian crop. It brings it in It also makes nice plump fat kernels.

Oh well, 2020 is more than trump winning again. It's a new start for a crop to get off to a better start than 2019 and then try to catch up.

I think once the fool get what he wants we all will have a big problem farming. Green manure yea took that in plant science back in 1979 or 80.

In a wet area like ours I need roundup to end the season and help me with weeds. It’s a safe chemical not like some we use.

Organic is a bigger game and I hate spraying at night.
