This is what happens when food, shelter and clothing are no longer priorities, probably a symptom of an affluent society that lost touch with reality and the necessities of life. Survival is taken for granted by some people in the world.

It's a different world out there for sure. Had the misfortune to spend a few hours in a Brandon shopping mall last week. Lots of overweight people, young and old, waddling around just looking for something to spend their money on. Whole stores that contained nothing I would ever use or desire.
Weird - then I returned to my hermit life, it's like we are on different planets.

I end up at the mall a couple times a year too. I enjoy watching people, I shouldnt judge by appearances I know but It is a single digit percentage of people that I consider normal.... like me. So i guess that makes me abnormal? So many overweight, lots just look like they couldnt tie their shoes, lots so covered in ink and piercings you aren't sure what you're looking at, lots that are LGBTQ whatever and making sure they look the part. Just wow, I'm sure they all look at me and wonder wtf is he about too. Definately appreciate the friends and neighbors I got!

Have a chick who works in ou shearing she’d known her since she was 14 late 30s now recovering ice user hasn’t had it for 5 years.

Asked her were do you get it in our local town some sort of a subculture she sort of slapped me around a bit and said Peter what planet are you on? After dark car parks at bars supermarkets public toilets.

You'd be tempted to say its strange "how the other half (of society) lives" but it's much of the other 98%. White, middle aged guys stopping in at what we consider a farm supply town in the heart of farm country. Yet when we stop and look the vast majority of the population there does not reflect us, our values or our way of life. Then you think about wider society encompassing the large cities of the country and you realise how fringe we, and our views are, to mainstream society.

Wonder if the queen’s herd (elk,moose, and deer) are going to pay this tax too? They have no problem eating the same diet as my cows on my dime to boot. Most of them amount to destructive animals that just feed the coyotes eventually vs my herd that provides natural unprocessed protein for the masses.

Maybe I could feed a couple pounds of peas and offset the “damage” of my evil herd😉
