Glad your at near normal CHU 👍. But is the crop later than normal? There is more to the story than CHU . Most crop was delayed off the start , when that happens you need higher than average CHzu to make up the maturity. That’s just common sense . If you did great , but picture show great cobs 👍, but still 2 weeks behind where they should be . Good luck 👍
My crop had issues - mainly of my own making that held the crop back - plus it was seeded later (relying on custom operators) Generally the other corn crops I've seen look awesome in S. MB. Some are spectacular but of course they are for grain not silage so will need more time to dry down and mature.

My SWAG is we’re running about 5 degrees cooler than normal here for the growing season so far. I haven’t kept track but I bet the daytime highs have been below 20 degrees more often than above here too.

Last year the neighbours crop matured but the incessant snow kept them from getting it off.

Maybe next year will be “just right” after too dry/ smokey last year and wet/cold this year? Mom was out checking cows with the gator and had her toque on today 🍀

I'm currently standing on my furnace vent warming up... It has ran every month this year so far. Portions of western AB, and even East of Calgary taking a light frost this morning.

There has been frost in this area 10 out of the last 12 months... actually in many areas.

Light frost three hills, trochu, Morrin, and down through Linden, Beiseker, all the way to Blackie in Alberta this morning.

Canola grass green, cereals still vulnerable.

            Ditches white.

2° when I went through morrin at 8am this morning.

Momentarily we were at 3degrees last hight at about 3:50, then it shot up to 5. Thank you Jesus🙏🏼 No damage in vulnerable plants that I can see.
