Not a John Deere combine customer but I did run into a local salesman I have known for years. Made the comment that they had lots of combines in inventory. He said that he had a combine in any price category and that Cervus had lowered their prices the first of August. I replied it looks to me reading the ads that all you did was remove the value of the pick up header to make the combines look cheaper but that in the ad you state the combine and header won't be separated even though it wasn't in the price. Anyway the interesting part of the story was that Cervus isn't taking trades on new combines, only used. All new combines are cash no trade. Cervus has too much tied up in used combines but he claimed they had moved 50 combines since Aug.1. My question is how many can afford a new combine c.n.t.?

If it wasn't for high inventory you mean it would be "gouging" as usual?
I hope they have to sing Happy Birthday to every combine, new and used, for two years before they see them leave the lot.
Dealers, pass that message on to the Mother Ship! Time to choke the supply of new combines to maintain values.
Gotta love all the discounts and "programming" used to entice farmers to buy. You know the ****en price is inflated into the stratosphere. Take your smoke and mirrors and pricing scams and schemes and shove them up your ass!

Case came out last week we are being head hunted again for combines and Trac tractors. Let’s see what will happen.
Oh Deere has lots of new and a program is coming from Mother corp. The most useless Deere dealership was out checking our three combines for twelve hours should have prices in two weeks. Case guy 20 min and pictures and hours looked in around and back gone.
Time to go read or lime green.
**** the green line.
