Nice to see the sun poke out this morning
Forecast went from sunny for 10 days to rains every 2-3 days.
Not great for harvest at all , be tough to get peas off now

White stems, disease or just very late swath?

Very low disease , just a bit of sclerotinia in a few low wet spots
Never sprayed fungicide, was dry most of season . Had a few decent rains during flowering though . Enough to get a crop at least . Time will tell on yields .
Peas are going about 8-10 bus per inch of rain . Hopefully canola does same .

Your not a straight cutter furrow?

Fack sakes canola still green here.

We have some but still prefer to put in swath . Part of “harvest management” for us . Always seem to have moisture issues with straight cut canola . It only takes a few low spots at 12 moisture to screw up a bin mid winter. Never have issues with cured swaths . Also not a fan of the dry down with pre harvest canola .
Straight cutting does work well but there are issues that come with it. Especially if you are looking to store for 4-6 months safely

Wow by your math I better buy a bagger or get the SF3’s bin guys out pronto. 250 bu canola here we come😎

I think the neighbours peas might only do 8-10 bushels total after drowning and getting root rot. Nothing close to swathing for a few weeks yet here besides grain silage.

Plus around here combines go about HALF MPH of swaths with the tough straw, sounds like 2x4's
