There are 5 million sq kms of amazon. Do you think the whole thing is going to burn? I bet a larger area burns in Canada every yr. And if we know anything about after a fire, the forest comes back pretty fast. We do controlled burns every year for that very purpose. hardly alarming.
The monsoon season starts in a month. Problem solved.
Now if you want to talk forest clear cutting to feed too many mouths in countries without the resources for their populations then we have something to discuss.Last edited by jazz; Aug 25, 2019, 19:00.

Perhaps Agstar's thread starter was a little vague and could be interpreted in different ways. I didnt take it as a direct climate change issue but maybe. Having said that I think the reference to China may be more related to our market share and the newly cleared Amazon fertile land, yes a man made issue that I'm against both as a sensitive natural environment and as more competition for our markets. You should all be concerned, the old "they ain't making any more farmland" just dont cut it.
