The last time through BSE the government didn't support you cattle guys while the industry bent many over....
Ironically I think we need more cows to chew through the feed we got. Had two years of feed on hand before we started baling this year. There’s still a whack of second cut, greenfeed (wheat planted late for summer grazing that’s not required now), and grazing corn. I guess there’s worse problems to have😉

I don’t want a hand out from the government. However they should do their job and defend and promote our markets to create real growth in the economy. Also get Environment Canada to nail down a weekly weather forecast before worrying about the next 50 years of warming (or not).

Some random thoughts as I wrap wet hay in a foggy drizzle that was cut 9 days ago with no rain in the 10 day forecast. It got washed 3 times anyway.

Just like here. 2015 is the last time when the whole neighbourhood finished harvest before winter. Last year having droughted out crop getting downgraded from too much rain/snow at harvest really sucked.

Maybe next year will be like goldilocks................. “just right”

I’d say “normal” but I’m almost afraid of what that is anymore.

          I don't trust a 5 day forecast.
Barely trust the third day of a three day forecast.
Frack all I can do about the weather anyway other than make management decisions and accept what ever Ma Nurture throws at me... complaining about it helps alot though.

If we didn't have a little bit of harvesting to do I'd welcome it.
Still have a soil moisture deficit going on
