That also says a lot about how the world views Canada as a place to invest. In the era of Trudeau, it is now apparently safer to invest in a literal war zone, with rampant corruption, and a history of nationalizing all assets. And they are probably right.

The company says this will provide farmer customers with increased access to more competitive offerings in grain trading, handling and merchandising, as well as full-range crop input products backed by leading agronomic solutions.

Just another blow to the Ag sector.
Just watch the input prices rise to pay for the acquisition. They will provide farmers only with one thing ..... a bigger bill.
Guess we will all be getting a no 1 for all grains delivered as they will be more competitive now .... ya good one!!

(This did happen when SWP bought out Agricore United.)
Doesnt VT have two terminals in Tisdale?

One at Valparaiso which is only about 10-15 minutes west of Tisdale

                And who is monitoring that?

Is there a competition bureau in Canada. ..

Ag apparently exempt from those regulations

They don't own the old Harvest Valley SWP terminal east of Tisdale?

Yes, sorry the way that was worded, they have the one just east of Tisdale and then the one at Valparaiso which is not too far west of Tisdale.

Deadly... between viterra and P&H they own 5 terminals within 30 miles? If only Nicklen siding would burn like it's supposed to....or the rats walk away with it in the dark of the night.

I deliver to P&H and VT on the west side. It isn't all bad, but this industry is falling into tighter hands, which isn't good imo. It's a shrinking oligopoly, call it what it is.

G3 is expanding quick and GrainsConnect is a new player.

Both have new ports under construction.

Might be losing a company but there’s still new elevators popping up like volunteer canola to give producers options.

All in the same areas of course. They do seem to like to build all within 10 miles of each other.
