    Now that's service

On Aug 30 it was determined our cart tractor, a 2009 485 quadtrac needed a new hydraulic oil cooler. The dealer checks and there is none in North America.

Of course its the long weekend. On Tuesday, I was told they would put a machine down request on the order. By Thursday, they have one on order and know that it will be 2 weeks if I am lucky. Not sure what the purpose of machine down designation being available. It doesn't seem to help imo.

Oh, a new one is $2,300. Used $2,000. The tractor has 3,000 hrs on it and a neighbor changed his at seeding on a tractor with less than 2,000 hrs so I didn't want to risk a used one for that money.

Told the partslady I think that I have the wrong colour tractor.

Guess there is an upside to cutting 15 bu lentils. Cart not really needed.

Any chance a rad shop could rebuild it?

Not sure. Its about 10 inches wide by 48 high. Split pretty good.

Love my quadtrac but you definitely feel the wash board on the road. I think that was the reason for failure.

Maybe HydraTech in Regina has the cooler?

I suppose CNH has lots at the factory that these are sourced from. Unfortunately that will be in a low wage region which requires a two week shipping delay.
Hopefully a rad shop can fix this.

            What a disgrace.
